School Health Analyzed by Malanje Educators in Educational Management Event.

Malanje: School managers and teachers in Malanje have embarked on a three-day educational event focused on analyzing school health from an educational management perspective. This initiative, promoted by the Provincial Office of Education, aims to bolster collective awareness and enhance teaching methodologies, aligning with the formation of individuals.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the event is part of the national day of the educator celebrations, scheduled for the 22nd of this month. It seeks to inspire educational agents to pursue continuous learning to meet the current educational and social demands of the country. Participants will explore topics such as student success, school violence, the social role of schools in the information age, and effective management models in educational institutions.

At the event’s opening, Franco Mufinda, the deputy governor for the Political, Social, and Economic sector, emphasized the role of education in social and human development. He urged teachers to re
flect on their responsibilities in shaping individuals ready to tackle modern challenges. Mufinda highlighted the importance of pedagogical innovation and tailored teaching methods, urging educators to adapt their approaches to the evolving social landscape.

Mufinda also encouraged education managers to enhance their skills and fully engage in the event and future training opportunities. He stressed the importance of promoting digital education to better connect students with information and communication technologies.

Manuel Osório, director of the Provincial Office of Education, expressed that the event aims to redefine the teacher’s role as a social transformation agent and to advance digital education within schools. He acknowledged the dedication of teachers who consistently strive to deliver quality education amid challenging transformations.

The event, themed ‘Valuing the voices of teachers, towards a new social contract for education’, gathers officials from the Provincial Education Office, school
managers, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to discuss and collaborate on these significant educational issues.
