Boulgou: The School Excellence Day celebrated Saturday in Zonse was marked by an exceptional mobilization of the community, but above all by the large number of awards offered to students, teachers, and establishments in the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the heart of the ceremony featured a powerful gesture: a motorcycle, 15 bicycles, 19 computers, 10 tablets, school kits, teaching materials, reams of paper, gardening and sound equipment, as well as certificates of merit were presented to encourage work and commitment. Held under the theme "Academic Excellence: A Catalyst for Quality Education in a Context of Security Challenges," the ceremony gathered administrative authorities, heads of departments, and traditional and religious leaders from Tenkodogo, Zonse, Bagre, Zabre, Gon-Boussougou, Ziou, and other localities in a festive atmosphere. A large delegation from Ouagadougou, led by the Honorable Issa Zampou, also attended to support the initiative.
The DREPPNF Bourbila Pierre Silga praised the unity and commitment of the sons and daughters of Zonse. 'This kind of event reminds us that we must work together - authorities, teachers, students, and parents - to provide children with the best learning conditions. Unity is strength,' he stressed.
The prefect, president of the special delegation of Zonse, Wendmini Frederic Ouedraogo, emphasized the need to continue the momentum already underway. He noted that education, culture, and solidarity are values that unite the community to build a better future for children.
The ceremony's sponsor, Noaga Damiba, highlighted the central role of education in local development. He stated that education is the pillar on which all sustainable progress rests and praised the engagement of young people in such initiatives. Damiba emphasized that culture and education must go hand in hand, expressing pride in the outcomes of these efforts.
Toboure Yigo, head of the Basic Education District of Zonse, expressed gratitude to the community. He underscored the necessity of dedicating resources to education, which he identified as the cornerstone of development.
The ceremony concluded with a tasting of local dishes, providing a convivial moment for participants to share the culinary and cultural riches of Zonse.
