Rundu — A scheduled power outage will affect Kavango East and West regions this Sunday, announced by the Namibia Power Corporation (NamPower). The outage, detailed in a media statement released on Tuesday, is set to occur from 07h00 to 19h00 on 19 November.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), this planned interruption will facilitate the connection and activation of a new transformer at the Rundu Substation. The new transformer installation aims to meet the growing electricity demand in the town. NamPower also stated that the outage period would allow for necessary maintenance work. Residents in the affected areas are advised to consider all power lines and electrical points as live during the outage, as power may be restored without warning.
