Houet: The special delegation of the municipality of Satiri held its second ordinary session of the year 2026, marked by a communication on the innovations of the General Code of Territorial Authorities (CGCT) and the Code of Persons and the Family (CPF), before the examination of several files relating to the management of the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session began with Emmanuel Ou©draogo, the chairman of the special delegation, inviting participants to pay close attention to the presentations to better understand the new legislative provisions. Sanfienal© Joseph Sirima, High Commissioner of Banwa Province, was the speaker for the day and shared insights into the main innovations of the General Code of Local Authorities. He highlighted the different categories of local authorities as outlined by the new text, noting that Satiri is now classified among the medium-sized municipalities.
The discussions provided an opportunity for the special delegation members to gain a deeper understanding of the new provisions in the General Code of Local Authorities and the Code of Persons and the Family, with an aim to enhance local governance and municipal management.
Comrade Sirima, concluding his presentation, expressed gratitude to the president of the special delegation and its members for their interest. He urged them to collaborate in a spirit of patriotism, cohesion, and solidarity to aid the authorities in efforts to develop the municipality. Emmanuel Ou©draogo, speaking at the event, praised the quality of the presentation and thanked the speaker. He encouraged participants to share and apply the knowledge gained in their responsibilities, wishing for peace in Burkina Faso and good rainfall for a fruitful agricultural season.
The session continued with discussions on various concerns related to the municipality's life, resulting in agreed recommendations and solutions for several agenda items. The members of the special delegation planned to reconvene in September for the third ordinary session of 2026.
