SAPS Mount Road detectives are seeking the next of kin or anyone who can identify the body of a man found murdered on Tuesday morning, 06 June 2023, in North End.

It is alleged that at approximately 03:00 on the abovementioned day, a witness who was sleeping in Broad Street heard a commotion on the railway lines closer to Paterson Road in North End. Fearing for his own safety, he did not intervene and only contacted police at daylight. The body of an unknown man was found with multiple injuries. He was beaten to death.

The deceased is a coloured male in his fifties, dressed in a pair of black “terraPOD” safety boots, navy tracksuit with three white stripes on both sides, blue zip up tracksuit top branded “Hemisphere” and a grey T- shirt. The deceased also had three puncture marks on his chest.
