Sapone: The President of the special delegation of the commune of Sapone, Koti Noel Sanou, recently conducted a comprehensive tour from October 22 to 24, 2025, across the villages of the commune. The initiative aimed to collect the concerns of local populations to facilitate a participatory budgeting process, thereby enhancing the socioeconomic development planning of the area.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this engagement was driven by the budget circular’s mandate, urging communities to create budgets that genuinely reflect the needs of their populations. Mr. Sanou, during his 72-hour tour, was joined by his colleagues as they visited all 40 villages within the commune, strategically divided into five areas of influence.
The tour provided a platform for Mr. Sanou to directly interact with the residents, advising them on their roles in the socio-economic advancement of the municipality, particularly through tax contributions. Residents expressed their gratitude for the initiative, utilizing the opportunity to communicate their challenges and grievances to the commune’s leadership.
Mr. Sanou assured that all concerns raised would be thoroughly analyzed and considered in the upcoming budget to ensure appropriate investment planning in the municipality. This undertaking precedes the forthcoming ordinary session of the municipality, scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2025.
Additionally, the tour allowed Mr. Sanou to inspect various administrative structures, including schools and health centers, reinforcing the commune’s commitment to addressing grassroots issues. He extended his gratitude to the villagers for their active participation and candid discussions, which enhanced his understanding of their everyday realities.
Mr. Sanou emphasized that involving the population in these discussions is crucial for fostering trust between the community and the municipal administration.
