Special regional delegation (DSR) of the Center-North, during its third ordinary session of the year 2023, took a deliberation authorizing the connection of the drilling of the regional stadium of the Center-North to the network of the National Office of Water and Sanitation (ONEA ). This DSR approach aims to facilitate access to water for all.
This deliberation aims to authorize the connection of the drilling of the Kaya regional stadium to the ONEA network, with a view to contributing to solving the water problem in the town of Kaya (north-centre).
This involves allowing ONEA to use the drilling of the Kaya regional stadium, the flow rate of which is approximately 10m3/h, to ensure not only continuity of service, but also to reach the maximum users of the city, namely IDPs and host populations. .
The device which will be put in place by ONEA will allow water to be pumped for more than 6 hours with a quantity of 54,000 liters/day.
This water point is capable of serving approximately 2,500 additional people for a specific consumption of 25 liters/day/inhabitant.
This decision by the special regional delegation of the Center-North is part of the National Water Strategy (2016-2023) which encourages the mobilization of water and its provision for all uses.
