Sanmatenga Pupils and Students Enlightened on Progressive Revolution and Community Development

Kaya: Issa Lagvar©, mission officer for the Center-North region at the Presidency of Faso, organized a public conference on May 17, 2025, in Kaya for the benefit of pupils and students from the province of Sanmatenga.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event in Kaya marked the conclusion of a youth awareness tour that began on April 15, 2025, across the region’s provinces. Initiated by Charg© de mission Issa Lagvar©, the conference aimed to educate high school and middle school students, as well as university attendees, on the challenges of the progressive revolution and the presidential initiative for community development. Dr. Moumini Zoungrana, a research professor at Joseph Ki Zerbo University, facilitated the event.

“We wanted the students to acquire some knowledge about the progressive revolution and the realities of the presidential initiative for community development,” Lagvar© stated, expressing satisfaction with the enthusiasm shown by the youth.

Dr. Zoungrana emphasized the importance of solidarity, social justice, and sovereignty, the foundational pillars of a progressive revolution, urging students to actively participate in the initiatives of the current authorities. He highlighted the necessity of youth involvement, stating, “Nothing great can be built without this youth.”

Idrissa Gamsonr©, High Commissioner of Sanmatenga Province, praised the students’ participation and encouraged them to use their newfound knowledge to enlighten their communities, becoming sources of inspiration and guidance for others.
