Saint Marc Private High School Literature Students Triumph in Principal’s Cup

Koudougou: The literature students of Saint Marc Private High School in Koudougou claimed victory in the principal's cup football tournament, defeating their peers from the science series with a score of 6-3 during the school's annual festival on Saturday, April 25.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the sports field of the Saint Marc high school was abuzz with excitement as the literature team showcased their skills in a competitive yet sportsmanlike match. The literature students took an early lead, scoring three consecutive goals and establishing dominance over the science team, who struggled to keep up in the first half, trailing 3-1.

Despite the science team's efforts to stage a comeback in the second half, the literature students' defense remained strong, effectively supported by their goalkeeper's exceptional performance. The literature team continued to demonstrate their prowess, ultimately securing a decisive 6-3 victory and lifting the coveted trophy amidst cheers from the enthusiastic crowd.

School principal Paulin Ou©draogo emphasized the role of sports in fostering social cohesion and personal development, stating, "Sport is a factor in social cohesion. Education is not limited to the four walls of the classroom; sport allows our children to flourish and express themselves." He commended the students' dedication and highlighted the significance of such events in the holistic development of students.
