DORI — The special regional delegation of the Sahel launched the process of developing the 2025-2029 Regional Development Plan (PRD) during a workshop held on Monday, August 19, 2024, in Dori.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor and president of the Sahel regional special delegation, the PRD is a crucial planning tool that guides actions through a collaborative approach among various stakeholders. The PRD will serve as a decision-making framework for the special regional delegation and its partners, coordinating development efforts across the region.
The workshop marked the official start of the planning process, which will involve the formation of an ad hoc commission, data collection for a diagnostic report, provincial workshops, and the creation of a draft document that will eventually be adopted as the Sahel region's PRD. The regional director of economy and development, Harouna Kaboré, outlined the steps that will follow this initial workshop, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder investment in ensuring the plan's success.
