Boulgou: The regional information meeting on secure sanitation has come to a close. The regional information meeting on safe wastewater and excreta management concluded this Friday, November 21, 2025, in Tenkodogo, coinciding with World Toilet Day. Participants analyzed the specific challenges facing their respective provinces and developed a joint agenda of priority actions.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized by the regional directorate in charge of Sanitation of Nakambe with financial support from Enabel. It brought together representatives from the administration, local authorities, as well as technical and associative partners. Several major themes were addressed, including inter-community cooperation, mechanisms for successful collaboration, and procedures for obtaining a drilling permit.
On behalf of the High Commissioner of the province of Kourittenga, Secretary General Ferdinand W. N'do welcomed the relevance of the discussions and reaffirmed the commitment of the provincial authority to support the implementation of the adopted agenda. He emphasized that this collaborative dynamic is crucial for sustainably improving sanitation and integrated wastewater management in the region.
The Secretary-General expressed satisfaction with the quality of contributions and thanked all participants for their dedication and the richness of the debates. He noted that these discussions reflect a collective will to achieve safe and harmonized sanitation within communities.
