Sacred Heart School of Gaoua Celebrates 25 Years of Educational Service

Poni/education: The Sacred Heart School of Gaoua celebrates 25 years of service to education and the nation. The event took place on Saturday under the theme '25 years of education, faith and excellence in service to the nation: challenges and perspectives'.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the commemoration began with a football match and was followed by a thanksgiving mass celebrated by Bishop Ollo Modeste Kambou. The Eucharistic celebration saw the attendance of several administrative, educational, and municipal authorities. Various speeches during the mass emphasized the significant contributions of the Sacred Heart School of Gaoua towards the education of young people in the Dj´r´ region and throughout Burkina Faso.

The school's director, Siebou Jean Pierre Da, recounted the history of the school since its inception, highlighting both the challenges and future goals aimed at strengthening academic excellence. He noted a pressing issue faced by the school is the lack of water, which affects educational activities and school hygiene. Mr. Da articulated a vision for the future, focusing on consolidating achievements, improving learning conditions, and maintaining a safe school environment. He emphasized the importance of integrating digital technology and modernity while preserving the Christian values that define the institution.

In his homily, Bishop Ollo Modeste Kambou offered a message of hope and congratulations to the educational community and blessed the institution for its continued mission. The celebration concluded with artistic performances and a community meal, during which the cake commemorating the school's 25th anniversary was shared.
