Sabou: The first edition of the ‘Bayir Daar©’ cultural days, celebrated under the theme ‘Values and attitudes for a humane and peaceful coexistence,’ was a resounding success from May 2 to 4 in Bourou. This inaugural event witnessed the participation of the president of the Special Delegation (PDS), the president of the Burkina REMPARTS Federation, and local customary notables.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Abdoul Aziz Koara, PDS of the commune of Sabou, urged the community to rally behind the efforts of the President of Faso. He highlighted the significance of this year’s theme, especially in the current context where tolerance, unity, mutual respect, and civic responsibility are imperative. He encouraged the residents of Bourou to stay mobilized, united, and committed to fostering peace and the harmonious development of their region.
Mr. Franck Alain Kabor©, an economic operator and CEO of Nerwaya Multi Vision, expressed his pleasure in participating alongside his uncles and contributing to the community’s development. He pledged his support for initiatives that promote sustainable development.
Furthermore, Mr. Michel Kopi¡, President of the Burkina Remparts Federation, called on the population to remain vigilant about Burkina Faso’s security, emphasizing that development cannot occur without peace. The ‘Bayir Daar©’ festivities in Bourou became a true symbol of solidarity and community commitment to a better future.
The activities scheduled for this first edition included a women’s race, consultations between residents for local development, a lively parade, local artistic performances, and the ceremony of laying the first stone for the fence of the Bourou dispensary.
