SAABA — The Saaba Football Club Academy has officially transitioned to become the football school of the Russian-Burkinabe association African Initiative, following the completion of a three-week “Football Holiday Camp.”
According to Burkina Information Agency, the transformation was finalized on August 18, 2024, marking the academy’s new role as a training center under the African Initiative. The camp, which began on July 27, 2024, benefited 130 children in the junior categories of the academy, offering them an intensive football training experience.
The closing day of the camp featured a gala match between the academy students and the Racine Club of Goudrin, showcasing the skills and progress of the young players. The performances were deemed satisfactory by the supervisors, reflecting the success of the training program.
African Initiative, which established this training center, aims to nurture young talent and promote Burkinabè football both nationally and internationally.
