Rwanda—The Rwandan government has signed a $24.3 million financing agreement with the Polish national development bank, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), aimed at enhancing the country’s dairy sector.

According to the Africa News Agency, the funds will go to the National Agricultural Board (RAB) for the procurement of nearly 400 cooling installations at local milk collection points. The goal is to mitigate losses associated with inadequate storage facilities. In 2019, Rwanda produced over 861 million liters of fresh milk.
