Bondo: Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga has expressed that President Dr. William Ruto's collaborative relationship with KANU party chairman Gedion Moi is enhancing the inclusivity of the government.
According to Kenya News Agency, Dr. Oburu stated that this development is beneficial for Kenya's unity and serves as an example for other politicians. He made these remarks at St. Paul's Akoko secondary school grounds in Bondo constituency during an event celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child.
Dr. Oburu refuted claims that Gedion Moi's involvement with the broad-based government would diminish the influence of the Orange Democratic Movement within the arrangement. He emphasized the importance of welcoming all parties and fostering dialogue among Kenyans to establish common principles.
Additionally, Dr. Oburu expressed concern over the current low turnout in voter registration and urged the youth to participate actively. He reminded citizens that voting is crucial for changing government leadership and ensuring the establishment of a quality government. The senator highlighted that registration and participation are essential for having a voice in governance.
