Russian Embassy in Stockholm Subjected to Another Act of Vandalism

Stockholm: The Russian Embassy in Sweden has been subjected to another act of vandalism, prompting a formal complaint to the Swedish Foreign Ministry. The Russian diplomatic mission disclosed the incident, which occurred early in the morning of April 15, when paint containers were hurled onto the asphalt in front of the central entrance to the embassy’s service building and the residential complex on its premises, which also houses the embassy’s school.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the embassy has notified the Swedish police regarding the incident. In response to the act of vandalism, a note was dispatched to the Swedish Foreign Ministry. The note demanded that the host nation fulfill its obligations under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 to ensure the inviolability and security of the Russian diplomatic mission.
