Bryantsev underscored the historically strong and fraternal relations between Angola and Russia, noting the former Soviet Union's pivotal role in Angola's liberation and sovereignty movement. The diplomat highlighted the enduring diplomatic ties between the two nations, established in 1975, and their ongoing cooperation across political, military, economic, and educational domains. During the celebrations, he commemorated the Soviet Union's victory over Nazism 81 years ago, a milest one that remains a significant part of historical memory.
