Manama: The Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen has launched a volunteer registration initiative for its upcoming Commemoration Day campaign, which features the sale of the razji flower pin to honor servicemen who have lost their lives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaign aims to foster community involvement by encouraging citizens to participate in the distribution and sale of the razji flower pin. This flower, a variant of Arabian jasmine known locally as razji or raziya, serves as a symbol of remembrance and respect for the sacrifices made by Bahrain’s servicemen. The pin is traditionally worn from December 9 to 17 annually.

Interested individuals are invited to register on the national volunteer platform at [volunteer.gov.bh]. The registration period is open from Monday, October 21, through Friday, November 22, 2024. This initiative provides an opportunity for community members to actively engage in honoring the nation’s heroes through a significant cultural tradition.
