Rotating Colour Raising Ceremony at DRPN-Centre: A Renewed Commitment to the Nation


Ouagadougou: The National Police Center Regional Directorate (DRPN-C) hosted the rotating ceremony for the raising of the national colors on Monday, June 2, 2025. Chaired by the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Security, Divisional Police Commissioner Wendinmanegd© Emmanuel ZONGO, this ceremony brought together the security department’s stakeholders around the national anthem, a symbol of patriotism and unity.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Chief of Staff, speaking on behalf of the Minister of Security, first recalled the context that led to the establishment of the rotating raising of the national colors. He emphasized the significance of the ceremony, stating, “It is always a renewed pride to celebrate our national colors and to affirm our attachment to the motherland. Beyond our sensitivities and our diversity, the Burkinabe people always find themselves through their national colors, the foundation of their unity and sovereignty.”



He also commended the commitment of the Defense and Security Forces, highlighting that hoisting the national flag symbolizes support for the fight led by the nation’s forces in various theaters of operations. He invited everyone to offer their support and tribute.



Finally, the Chief of Staff conveyed the Minister of Security’s congratulations and encouragement to the National Police and Gendarmerie command for their leadership and the results achieved on the ground. Similar congratulations and encouragement were extended to all Ministry staff, recognizing their dedication.
