Kandahar: Afghan authorities have initiated a significant road construction project in the southern Kandahar province, as reported by the state-run Bakhtar news agency. The project, which is set to cost nearly 305 million Afghanis (over 4.6 million U.S. dollars), is focused on improving transportation and enhancing trade routes in the Shorabak district. This development is expected to create hundreds of job opportunities during its implementation phase.
According to Namibia Press Agency, in addition to the road project, construction has commenced on two water supply networks in the Nawzad district of the southern Helmand province. These infrastructure projects are part of a broader strategy by the Afghan government to launch development, agricultural, and infrastructure initiatives aimed at addressing economic challenges and generating employment opportunities.
