Cabinda: Team KD Racing de Luanda's rider Ricardo Jorge clinched the Cabinda Motocross Prize during the city's 69th anniversary festivities, marking a significant win on the 28th of this month. Ricardo Jorge emerged victorious in the Open class, also known as the 250 cubic centimeters category, by outperforming his competitors in both races, amassing a total of 40 points in the overall standings.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Fl¡vio Joaquim and Tiago Figueiredo from Team Fiftysik secured the second and third positions in the same category, scoring 34 and 30 points, respectively. The Moto 4 class saw Edson Miranda of KD Racing dominate, achieving 40 points, while Leonardo Gon§alves and Julio Sunday from Team Fiftysik followed with 30 points each, placing second and third.
The KD Racing team also triumphed in the 85 cubic centimeters category, earning 37 points. Teammate Diogo Santos and independent pilot Carlos Ant³nio claimed the subsequent spots with 31 and 30 points. In the youngest class, the 65 cubic centimeters category, Francisco Resende, Fl¡vio Francisco, and Nuno Figueiredo, all from Valentine Amµes school, finished in first, second, and third positions.
At the conclusion of the race, Cabinda Governor Suzana de Abreu urged the local business community to support the revival of this sport, which has gained traction in recent years. "We have to embrace and encourage these and other sports modalities that rejoice our residents," she remarked.
Several sports, recreational and cultural activities are being developed to greet the 69 years of existence of the city of Cabinda.
