Respect for State Symbols Advocated at Léo Remand and Correction Center.

Sissili: The raising of the colors of each first Tuesday of the month took place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Leo House of Arrest and Correction (MACL). For the occasion, the provincial authorities and the active forces advocated the promotion of citizenship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony of raising the national colors at the Maison d’arrêt et de correction de Léo (MACL) was chaired by the high commissioner of the province of Sissili, Tewindé Isaac Sia. The event saw the participation of directors and heads of services, various military and paramilitary bodies, and the vital forces of the province. This gathering was an opportunity for participants to visibly demonstrate their attachment to the motherland through the national flag.

Tewindé Isaac Sia, the High Commissioner of Sissili province, expressed his gratitude to all those who attended the ceremony despite the morning cold. He highlighted the importance of respecting the symbols of the State and thanked the attendees fo
r their interest. Mr. Sia also commended the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their ongoing efforts to maintain calm in the province of Sissili.

Additionally, Tewindé Isaac Sia urged everyone to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to enable security forces to respond swiftly.
