Tahoua: The Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Aboubakar NACANABO, who also serves as President of the Council of Ministers of the WAEMU, attended the official opening ceremony of the BCEAO Auxiliary Agency in Tahoua, alongside Nigerien authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the construction of the Tahoua branch marks a key step in the economic development of the central-western and northern regions of Niger. This new facility is expected to enhance the circulation of currency, strengthen the security of monetary transactions, and support the economic transformation of these regions by bringing the Central Bank's services closer to local economic actors.

The new branch is part of the BCEAO's ongoing efforts to consolidate its network in Niger. With the inauguration of the Tahoua branch, the country now hosts three branch agencies, in addition to those in Maradi and Zinder, and the main agency in Niamey.
