Religious and Customary Leaders from Center South Thank Burkina Faso’s Head of State


OUAGADOUGOU – Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition and Head of State, met with religious and customary leaders from the South Center region on Saturday afternoon. The meeting provided a platform for these leaders to show their appreciation for the government’s efforts in national security and redevelopment.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the provincial section of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME), the session was particularly focused on thanking the Head of State for the advancements in reclaiming national territory. Pastor Piouyiri highlighted the successful resettlement of villages and enhancements to the operational capabilities of the military as key achievements that have brought satisfaction to the community.



The discussions also covered the ongoing security challenges, the construction of socio-economic infrastructure like roads and dams, emphasizing the transparent and direct communication style of President Traoré. His Majesty the Pô Pè expressed confidence in the President’s commitments.



During this gathering, the leaders reiterated their support for the Transition Government’s objectives. Additionally, President Traoré attended the graduation ceremony of the Faso Kanu class at the Georges Namoano Academy in the region, underscoring his active involvement in both security and educational developments.
