Guiriko: The regional director of Water and Forests for the Guiriko region, Colonel Hassime RABO, extended his New Year's greetings to the staff and partners of the service on Monday, January 26, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Colonel RABO addressed the gathering, wishing everyone a year filled with health, peace, and success.

He highlighted that the new year begins under significantly improved security conditions in the region, attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the civic engagement of the local populations.

The regional director emphasized that this positive momentum necessitates increased vigilance, discipline, and professionalism in fulfilling the primary responsibilities of the Water and Forestry Department. He praised the staff for their dedication and commitment throughout the year 2025.

Colonel Hassime RABO concluded by encouraging his colleagues to persist in their efforts with cohesion, solidarity, and both individual and collective commitment.
