Regional Director of Education Engages with Imasgo Stakeholders to Enhance Academic Performance

Koudougou: In a dynamic effort to bolster education, the regional director of education undertook a strategic working visit to the Basic Education District of Imasgo, situated 25 km north of Koudougou. This visit, observed by AIB, aimed to foster direct dialogue and reinvigorate local educational efforts.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director's tour commenced with a visit to Godin Oulogtinga A and B schools, located 18 km from Koudougou, where the dedication of teachers was recognized as crucial for advancing Burkinabe schools. In Imasgo, discussions with supervisory staff centered on enhancing local support to improve the Certificate of Primary Education pass rate starting in 2026.

The key event of the visit was an expanded meeting at Imasgo Town Hall, involving school principals and teachers. Discussions focused on four primary themes: improving academic performance, enhancing the teaching profession, ensuring professional ethics, and addressing daily pedagogical challenges. Participants openly discussed concerns related to career management, school council operations, and working conditions, receiving insights from the regional director deemed reassuring and practical.

The visit concluded positively, with stakeholders expressing optimism and reaffirming their commitment to making Imasgo a hub of educational excellence.
