Regional Authorities Launch National Cultural Heritage Month in Toma

Nayala: The Secretary General of the Boucle du Mouhoun Adjara region, Sandrine Kientéga/Ouédraogo, delivered the message of the President of Faso on the occasion of the regional launch of the 3rd edition of the National Cultural Heritage Month, marking the beginning of a month-long celebration dedicated to the promotion of cultural heritage.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the authorities of the Boucle du Mouhoun region initiated the activities of the Burkinabe cultural heritage month in Toma. The launch event included visits to several emblematic sites that hold significant cultural and historical value. Among these were the sacred square of Loghoin, the Joseph Ki-Zerbo roundabout, the tomb of Burkina’s first Christian, and the Gué Paré Issa roundabout.

The visit provided an opportunity for regional authorities to emphasize the importance of these sites in preserving collective memory and fostering national identity. By highlighting these locations, the authorities aim to raise awareness and encou
rage the preservation of the nation’s cultural heritage.

This initiative, spearheaded by the President of Faso, invites all Burkinabe to actively engage in the celebration and promotion of their cultural heritage. The event in Toma is just the beginning of a month dedicated to recognizing and honoring the rich cultural history of Burkina Faso.
