Nayala: The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, led a delegation to inspect the progress of 350 plants along the roads of Toma. High Commissioner Par© acknowledged the commitment of both the partner and the municipality, emphasizing the need for local involvement in the development of the area. He called for citizen-led monitoring initiatives to maintain the plants and suggested forming a green brigade, inspired by the LAABAL brigade.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of the environment, Vognan D©sir©, highlighted the responsibility of local residents, as primary beneficiaries, to maintain and water the plants. The president of the Special Delegation of the commune of Toma, Sawadogo Zakaria, expressed gratitude to the partner, stating that planting even a single tree is significant, and planting 350 is a considerable investment for the future. He stressed the importance of protecting the plants and reinforcing their fences to ensure survival.
Luxembourg's cooperation representative, Par© Steeve Dimitri, pledged further support for awareness and protection efforts and expressed hope for additional partners to assist with watering during the dry season. Local authorities and partner organizations collectively urged the community to embrace the initiative to secure its success for the benefit of all.
