Reforestation Efforts Bring Greenery Back to CSC North Headquarters in Yatenga

OUAHIGOUYA — The regional headquarters of the Superior Communication Council (CSC) of the North in Yatenga is now greener thanks to a successful reforestation initiative. This past Saturday, the Youth Association for the Development and Protection of the Environment (AJDPE) led the planting of 65 trees as part of a broader effort to combat environmental degradation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President of the CSC, the reforestation day was part of the first edition of a national environmental campaign focused on building community resilience against climate change. The event, which also aimed to promote sustainable agriculture amid regional insecurity, was lauded by Ouédraogo as a pivotal citizen act that aligns with the governmental vision. He expressed gratitude towards the Northern youth for their proactive stance on environmental issues and for choosing the CSC headquarters for this initiative. This activity not only enhances the aesthetic and ecological value of the area but also underscores the CSC’s commitment to being an effective media regulator in the region.
