Windhoek: The Namibia Schools Sport Union (NSSU) has announced the continuation of the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics across different regions. These clinics are sports and education initiatives designed to enhance young football players’ abilities and instill fundamental values.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Real Madrid Foundation plans to conduct its clinics in the Zambezi and Kavango West Regions. The clinics, made possible through the support of Cadilu Fishing, are scheduled to take place in Katima Mulilo from May 19 to 23, 2025, and in Nkurenkuru from May 26 to 30, 2025. The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, Dino Ballotti, is expected to inaugurate the Katima Mulilo clinics.

The NSSU statement highlighted that the programme aims to engage hundreds of school-going children and teachers in the Zambezi, Kavango West, Hardap, and Omusati regions. This year, the clinics are set to reach over 1,000 learners and 150 teachers across these areas.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Namibia Schools Sport Union and MEIYSAC, with facilitation by the Embassy of Spain in Namibia. This collaboration is part of a cooperation agreement between the Real Madrid Foundation and Cadilu Fishing (Pty) Ltd, a Namibian fishing company. Cadilu Fishing continues its support for the third consecutive year as part of its corporate social investment strategy.
