Rªves de Gracias Association Launches ‘A Schoolbag for a Smile’ Campaign to Aid 150 Vulnerable Children

Ouagadougou: The Rªves de Gracias association has announced the launch of its campaign titled “A Schoolbag for a Smile,” aimed at benefiting 150 vulnerable children for the 2025-2026 school year. This initiative, launched on the evening of Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Ouagadougou, seeks to provide these children with essential school kits.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the campaign’s goal is to raise 3,000,000 CFA francs to ensure that 150 children receive the necessary educational materials. Tatiana Tapsoba, president of the Rªves de Gracias association, emphasized the importance of this initiative. She highlighted that during the previous 2024-2025 season, the association successfully supported 200 children with food and a Christmas celebration, while 50 children were provided with school supplies. Out of these, 14 children received full tuition support. Additionally, health assistance was extended to 200 children, and eight widows were trained in hairdressing and dyeing.



The campaign launch was part of a broader effort by the association to address the needs of vulnerable children. Tatiana Tapsoba also revealed plans to organize a sanitation day, renovate a school with paint, furniture, and sanitary equipment, and conduct a medical screening day for 250 children.



The Rªves de Gracias association, founded on June 24, 2023, is dedicated to ensuring access to education, food, and healthcare for orphans and deprived children aged 0 to 16.
