Rape of Nigerien airspace: France speaks of an authorized “air movement”

France has assured that it has previously received written authorization, before carrying out this Wednesday, “an air movement in Niger”, unlike the new authorities who accuse it of having violated the space air and to have freed terrorists.

“The air movement carried out today in Niger was the subject of a prior agreement and technical coordination with the Nigerien forces, authorization confirmed in writing. », Indicates a joint press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Armies of France.

The same source specifies that no attack against a Nigerien camp took place and no terrorist was released by the French Forces.

Earlier the new authorities of Niger affirmed in a press release, that a French military plane leaving from Chad, voluntarily cut off all contact with air traffic control, at the entrance of their airspace.

They added that Paris has unilaterally released terrorist prisoners to participate in future attacks in the area of the three borders (Burkina, Mali and Niger).

Paris says it firmly rejects these “unfounded” accusations and speaks of diversion on the part of the new authorities.
