Ouagadougou: Ambassador, Secretary General, Mr. Hermann Yirigouin TOE chaired a working session this Wednesday, April 2, devoted to the preparation of periodic reports of planning documents at the level of the central administration and in the Missions of Diplomatic and Consular Posts. The objective of this session is to harmonize understandings on reporting frameworks and deadlines for transmitting planning documents.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these documents include activity programs, performance contracts for heads of diplomatic missions and consular posts, performance contracts, and mission letters, and must be monitored and evaluated in accordance with Law 0 73-2015 CNT of November 6, 2015, relating to the Finance Act. This provision was adopted with a view to modernizing public administration and making it more efficient. "This law marks a turning point in public management by placing emphasis on an approach focused on results and accountability," the Secretary General stressed.
The working session was organized in two stages, a first phase with the heads of central structures, and a second phase by video conference for the attention of representatives of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts with a view to upgrading all the actors and ensuring the achievement of the objectives assigned to the actors of the department in charge of Foreign Affairs. "We must ensure that all stakeholders share the same vision and methodology to ensure the consistency and quality of our reports," said Ambassador Secretary-General Hermann Yirigouin TOE.
