Qingdao’s Yang Hansen Secures Consecutive CBA Rising Star Awards

QINGDAO: Qingdao Eagles center Yang Hansen has been named the Rising Star of the Month in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, marking his second consecutive win since the 2024-25 season began. The 19-year-old’s consistent performance has significantly contributed to Qingdao’s successful run in the league.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Yang demonstrated outstanding skills between the 11th and 24th rounds of the regular season, averaging 16.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.8 blocks per game. He played an average of 31.9 minutes per game, and his shooting accuracy was notable, with a 58.9% success rate from the field and 50.0% on three-pointers. Yang’s contributions helped Qingdao secure victories in nine out of 14 matches during this period.



Qingdao Eagles currently hold the eighth position in the 20-team CBA standings with a 16-9 record. Yang’s performance not only highlights his individual talent but also underscores his pivotal role in the team’s competitive standing in the league.
