Moscow: The statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding Moscow’s openness to negotiate on Ukraine without preconditions continues to hold significance, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Peskov reiterated Putin’s stance on direct negotiations with Ukraine, emphasizing that the offer still stands without any preconditions. He conveyed these remarks at the Znanie (Knowledge) education forum, which was being held alongside the Russian-hosted World Youth Festival.
Peskov pointed out that Kiev has been discussing preconditions for a settlement, a stance that conflicts with Putin’s position. He further noted that Russia has yet to receive any indication from Kiev about its willingness to engage in dialogue with Moscow without preconditions.
