WINDHOEK — Puma Energy Namibia has nearly completed the rollout of free Wi-Fi services at its filling stations across Windhoek, with plans to extend this service to cover approximately 90% of its locations nationwide. This initiative is aimed at enhancing customer experiences by providing internet access alongside existing amenities such as convenience shops and quick service restaurants.

According to Namibia Press Agency, General Manager of Puma Energy Namibia, the final three of the ten stations in Windhoek are expected to be Wi-Fi-enabled by the end of this week. The company's expansion of free Wi-Fi services is part of a broader effort to increase customer convenience and satisfaction across its network.

Samuelson also highlighted safety precautions related to mobile device usage at filling stations. She reminded customers to step away from the forecourt during refueling and adhere to posted notices prohibiting the use of cell phones near pumps, in compliance with Namibia's Petroleum Act. This law mandates that no electronic device be used within two meters of a dispensing pump, and during the transfer of fuel into storage tanks, devices must be kept at least 15 meters away.

Violations of these regulations constitute an offense under the Petroleum Act, underscoring Puma Energy's commitment to safety. This policy is in line with scientific evidence supporting the risk of using mobile phones near flammable materials and is enforced rigorously to ensure the safety of all customers and staff at Puma Energy stations.
