Windhoek: A delegation from the Public Service Commission (PSC) paid a courtesy visit to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House on Wednesday: During this visit, the PSC Chairperson, Salmaan Dhameer Jacobs, commended Nandi-Ndaitwah for her vision for public service and governance. He praised her dedication to effective service delivery and the enhancement of governance structures for the benefit of all Namibians.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Jacobs expressed confidence in Nandi-Ndaitwah’s leadership, noting that her vision, shared on various platforms since she assumed office on 21 March 2025, ensures the necessary support for achieving improved public service management. He stressed the shared goal of serving the Namibian people.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the significance of having a capable and dedicated public service. She stated the necessity of staff possessing both the required skills and strong motivation. ‘If you separate the two, the outcome would be a disaster. But with appropriate skills and motivation, one can produce desirable results,’ she remarked.
The delegation also engaged in closed-door discussions with the head of state. The Public Service Commission is tasked with overseeing Namibia’s public service, focusing on human resource management and recruitment.
