PSA No. 5 Reopens in Djibo, Signaling Restoration of Social Services

Tenkodogo: PSA NO. 5 REOPENS AFTER FOUR YEARS OF CLOSURE, A STRONG SIGNAL OF THE RETURN OF SOCIAL SERVICES: After remaining closed for four years due to the security situation, the Advanced Health Post (PSA) No. 5 in Djibo officially resumed its activities on Monday, marking an important step in the restoration of basic social services for the benefit of the resilient populations of the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the reopening of the municipal high school on January 30 was followed by the reopening of PSA No. 5, signaling progress towards stability in the province of Soum. This resumption of health activities represents a pivotal moment for the residents of the city, who have endured the closure of numerous social infrastructures due to threats from armed terrorist groups.

For local communities, the return of this community health service brings hope and indicates an improvement in security conditions. It also contributes to a process of normalization and renewed development at the local level.

The reopening of PSA No. 5 is the result of a concerted commitment from several actors, including health workers, whose mobilization ensures continuity of care; the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), who ensure the security of infrastructure and people; as well as administrative authorities and partners, whose support has been crucial.
