PS Belio Urges Students to Work Hard, Embrace CBC

Nairobi: Basic Education Principal Secretary, Dr. Belio Kipsang, engages Grade 9 students at Thika Road Junior School during an inspection tour of schools reopening for the first term of 2025 in Nairobi County. He urged the students to work hard in school, saying education is the key to their future, adding that the government is committed to implementing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).



According to Kenya News Agency, Dr. Kipsang emphasized the importance of the CBC, noting that it is designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge necessary for the dynamic world. He reassured students and educators of the government’s dedication to ensuring the successful rollout and integration of the CBC across all educational institutions in the country.



During his visit, Dr. Kipsang interacted with both students and teachers, encouraging a collaborative approach to learning. He highlighted the government’s efforts to provide necessary resources and support to facilitate the effective teaching and learning processes under the new curriculum framework.
