Provincial Food Security Council Analyzes Agricultural Campaign in Namentenga

BOULSA: Members of the provincial food security council in Namentenga convened to evaluate the results of the recent wet agricultural campaign and to strategize ways to ensure food security in the region. The session, held on December 24, 2024, highlighted key areas such as agro-pastoral activities, fishing, and food assistance.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting of the technical committee, known as CP/CPSA, focused on analyzing data from various sectors to aid the government in making informed decisions to achieve food sovereignty. Discussions included the organization of producers for better production management and the preservation of bodies of water to prevent silting and degradation.



Participants emphasized the importance of coordinating regional and national data to enhance decision-making processes. Mamadou Sidib©, the provincial director in charge of Agriculture and president of the CT/CPSA, expressed gratitude to the participants for their contributions and acknowledged the financial support from the Technical and Development Assistance Alliance.
