ADDIS ABABA – Dr. Bikila Hurisa, Head of Public and International Relations for the Prosperity Party (PP), today reaffirmed the party’s commitment to leaving a green and thriving Ethiopia for future generations. This declaration came during a significant tree-planting event where millions of Ethiopians came together to plant 600 million saplings in a single day.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Dr. Bikila Hurisa expressed optimism about achieving this ambitious target, noting the meticulous preparations made during the summer months, including the pre-establishment of seedlings and planting sites. “Together, we will build a green, beautiful, and comfortable Ethiopia for future generations,” he stated. With the rainy season commencing, the focus is now on not only planting these saplings but also on ensuring their survival and contribution to the nation’s forestry, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors. The event is part of a larger effort, aiming to plant 7.5 billion trees across Ethiopia.
