Ouagadougou: The Sabou health district celebrated International Women's Day on a delayed basis, under the leadership of Chief Physician Dr. Mariata Ou©draogo and under the patronage of the President of the special delegation, Abdul Aziz Koara. This event, held with a significant focus on the challenges faced by women in the health sector, highlighted the theme: "Balancing Work and Family: A Challenge for Women in the Health Sector."
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was notably marked by the generous contribution of sponsor Moussa Konombo, who donated a variety of medical equipment. The donation included 4 beds, 4 mattresses, 2 office chairs, an office table, a box of gloves, a box of soaps, a solar lamp, a hand basin, an electronic baby scale, an electronic bathroom scale, and brooms, among other necessities. This gesture added a special touch to the celebration.
Additionally, the women of the health district contributed by handing over a batch of food to the VDP, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit and community support present at the event. The celebration underscored the ongoing efforts to address the unique challenges faced by women balancing work and family responsibilities in the health sector.
