Bam: In a gesture aimed at supporting local defense efforts, Drissa Traoré, the head of the private security company 4TD Sécurité, has donated food and fuel to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the communes of Sabcé, Guibaré, and Mané. The donation, which includes three tonnes of local rice and funds for fuel, is intended to encourage the VDPs’ ongoing efforts to reclaim national territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the prefect and President of the special delegation of Sabcé, Aristide Bado, received the donation on behalf of the VDPs. The donation comprised three tonnes of local rice, divided into one-tonne allocations for each of the three communes, and 100,000 FCFA per commune to cover fuel expenses.

Drissa Traoré stated that his contribution aligns with a call from President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, urging Burkinabè citizens to support efforts to reclaim national territory. Traoré emphasized that the VDPs represent an extension of the security sector, underscoring the
importance of supporting them for the benefit of society. He also noted that choosing local rice aligns with the President’s encouragement for Burkinabè to prioritize local consumption.

The representative of the VDP in Sabcé expressed gratitude, highlighting that the donation serves as motivation for the volunteers. He assured continued commitment to the full reclamation of Burkina Faso.

Prefect Aristide Bado acknowledged the donation, expressing the administration’s appreciation to 4TD Sécurité. The food and funds were subsequently distributed to the intended beneficiaries. 4TD Sécurité is a private security firm subcontracted to the Bissa Gold mine, which influences the choice of these three municipalities for the donation.
