Prime Minister Urges Staff Commitment and Discipline at Flag-Raising Ceremony

Ouagadougou: The traditional raising of the colors took place this Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office in the presence of Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo. On the occasion, the Head of Government presented to his colleagues the main points of the new decree on the organization, responsibilities, and functioning of the Prime Minister’s Office, while urging them to work in a spirit of sacrifice, with order and discipline, for the development of Burkina Faso.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the national flag as a symbol of identity, history, and values. He reminded his colleagues of the obligations and duties imposed by the flag. He paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces as well as martyrs, calling for a national revival through dedication to the Nation.



The Prime Minister highlighted the progress achieved by his office during 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. He noted an improvement in the physical execution rate of activities, which reached 87.20% at the end of 2024, an increase of 3.12 points from 2023. The overall performance also improved to 71.39% from 67.80% in 2023. As of March 31, 2025, the execution rate of the Annual Work Plan was estimated at 31.27%.



The Prime Minister congratulated the staff but urged them to enhance coordination of government action. The new decree, adopted by the Council of Ministers on April 3, 2025, guides their actions. It aims to rationalize missions, create a security department, and operationalize internal control through a Technical Inspection of Services.



The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing the importance of a shared spirit to achieve objectives, following the leadership of the President of Faso. The ceremony was a moment of collective commitment and patriotism for the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office.
