Komsilga: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo visited the construction site of the Soci©t© Nouvelle-Brasserie du Faso (SN-BRAFASO), located in the rural commune of Komsilga. This visit is part of the monitoring of structuring projects included in Burkina Faso's industrial revival policy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister responsible for industry, Serge Gnaniodem Poda, to review the progress of the rehabilitation work on this strategic industrial unit. This project is seen as a symbol of the political will to promote a strong and autonomous national industry.
Following the visit, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the level of execution of the work, stating that they leave reassured by what was seen on the site of the BRAFASO factory, which is owned by the Burkinabe people. He noted that significant investments have already been made at the factory level and in the necessary related infrastructure.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the project is central to the Head of State's vision for Burkina Faso's industrial development. He acknowledged the challenges faced in implementing the project but highlighted that appropriate measures have been taken to ensure successful completion.
The construction progress and assurances from the companies involved have allowed the Prime Minister to announce that the factory is moving towards completion. He expressed optimism that within a month or two, the project will be fully completed, and the first products from the factory will be available on the market.
Closed since 2008, the BRAFASO factory is set to reopen under its new identity, SN-BRAFASO. It is expected to play a key role in processing local raw materials, creating jobs, and reducing beverage imports.
