Bobo-dioulasso: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the productions of cultural actors on Saturday evening in Bobo-Dioulasso, at the closing of the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week (SNC), AIB observed on site. The event concluded with a positive assessment from the organizing committee, highlighting the achievements and contributions of various participants.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week ended on a note of great satisfaction. The Prime Minister noted a remarkable renewal of artistic creation, as evidenced by the richness and quality of works across various disciplines. He commended the cultural actors from Burkina Faso and partner countries for their exceptional mobilization.
Prime Minister Ouedraogo also acknowledged Bobo-Dioulasso's recent designation as a UNESCO Creative City, which underscores the city's artistic and cultural significance. He emphasized the success of this biennial event, marked by diverse artistic expressions and the revelation of new talents among Burkinabe youth.
The SNC provided a platform for intellectual exchange, including scientific meetings and dialogue spaces, reinforcing culture's role in national development. The Prime Minister highlighted the SNC as a strategic tool for promoting cultural heritage and enhancing Burkina Faso's international reputation.
Expressing gratitude to participants and partners, Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo reaffirmed the government's commitment to making culture a cornerstone of national development under President Ibrahim Traore's leadership. The event concluded with several works being awarded prizes in various disciplines, and the 23rd edition is scheduled for next year.
