MOGADISHU, SOMALIA: Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre opened a conference that focused on the role of Islamic Scholars in peace, reconciliation, and counterterrorism.
According to Somali National News Agency, the Prime Minister urged the people and the Islamic Scholars to actively participate in the fight against the Al-Shabaab terrorist group and support the Somali National Army. He emphasized the importance of completing the draft constitution to ensure the completeness of the government and mentioned the government’s efforts in debt relief, liberating areas held by Al-Shabaab, and economic growth.
