Seoul – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has reiterated Ethiopia’s commitment to enhance its partnership with South Korea. During his official visit to South Korea, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude towards President Yoon Suk Yeol for the hospitality extended to the Ethiopian delegation. He highlighted the historical connections between the two nations, which date back to Ethiopia’s involvement in the Korean War over sixty years ago.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy is optimistic about further strengthening the bilateral relationship. His visit included a stop at Chuncheon with First Lady Zinash Tayachew, where they honored Ethiopian veterans by laying a wreath at their monument and touring the Memorial Hall.
