KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia has visited development sites in Kuala Lumpur as part of an official working visit to Malaysia. This visit follows his participation in the BRICS Summit, and he was accompanied by a ministerial delegation.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy used social media to invite Malaysian businesses to explore investment opportunities in Ethiopia’s expanding economy. He expressed gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Malaysian government for their warm hospitality during his visit.
The two leaders have agreed to enhance collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and renewable energy. Prime Minister Abiy highlighted the potential for deepening ties between the two nations and encouraged Malaysian enterprises to take advantage of the investment prospects in Ethiopia.
